FED:Egyptians must help us evacuate: Rudd

CANBERRA, Feb 4 AAP - Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd has told his Egyptian counterpart
he must help evacuate close to 150 Australians still stranded in the strife-torn country.

More than 100 Australians are staying at a Cairo airport hotel awaiting the next Qantas
charter flight out of Egypt.

A smaller number of Australians, some 20 or 30, have remained at a hotel in the city,
Mr Rudd said.

"(That's) for the simple reason that at this stage it has been judged to be too difficult
and possibly too dangerous to travel from the hotel in the city …
