SA: Democrats to inquire into second wave of industrial reform
The Democrats have moved to set up a Senate inquiry into the operation of the government's
1996 workplace relations reforms, saying they'll consider the second wave in light of the
findings.
Democrats workplace relations spokesman ANDREW MURRAY says public hearings will be held in
each state, with a report to be given to the Senate by November 29.
He says the Democrats can't support Workplace Relations Minister PETER REITH's Workplace
Relations Amendment Bill in its current form as it contains too many provisions which are
unfair, unbalanced and unnecessary.
