WA: WA Democrats to meet Murray next week, if still a member
PERTH, Aug 1 AAP - The West Australian Democrats are lining up behind their party roomcolleagues to resolve differences with self-exiled WA Senator Andrew Murray.
The Australian Democrats were plunged into crisis last week when former leader MegLees resigned and Senator Murray renounced his portfolios to become the party's firstDemocrat in exile.
Democrats Leader Natasha Stott Despoja warned him to shape up or ship out, giving SenatorMurray until Sunday to decide his future with the party.
Now his fellow WA Democrats say they want their turn at resolving differences withthe rebel senator.
The WA division met yesterday and agreed to meet Senator Murray next week, should hebe still a party member, WA president Damian Meyer said.
The Democrats have agreed not to publicly discuss their differences until after thevarious meetings.
