Vic: Man suffers serious injuries in assault

MELBOURNE, Jan 17 AAP - A 40-year-old man suffered serious head injuries when he was
attacked in Melbourne's inner south this morning.

Police said the man was returning to his car when he was confronted by three men who
smashed his car window in Porter Street, Prahran about 5am (AEDT).

An altercation took place and the 40-year-old man chased two of the men, police said.
